This page explains how IQMoneyPlanner is funded and how any advertising on the site is handled, so that you always know what you are looking at.
Current status
As of September 20, 2026, the site does not display advertisements, sponsored placements or affiliate links. Every calculator is free to use.
Possible advertising in the future
Running a website has costs, and the operator may decide to show advertising to help cover them. The site publishes an ads.txt file at iqmoneyplanner.com/ads.txt, which is a public list of the companies authorized to sell advertising on the site. Publishing that file is a preparation step and does not mean ads are currently running or that any advertising program has approved the site.
If advertising is added, it would follow these principles:
- Clearly separate. Ads would be visibly separate from calculator inputs, results, explanations and sources, and would not be disguised as content.
- Independent results. Advertisers and ad networks have no influence over what a calculator computes, what assumptions it uses or what the pages say. Results would never be adjusted to favor a lender, card, broker or product.
- Privacy disclosure. Ad networks such as Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. The Privacy Policy would be updated to describe this before it begins, and where the law requires it, the site would ask for your consent first.
- No interference with use. Ads would not be placed in ways that block the calculators, trick you into clicking or make the site hard to use.
Affiliate and sponsored content
The site does not currently include affiliate links or sponsored content. If that ever changes, such relationships would be labeled on the page where they appear, and we would say so here.
Editorial independence
Calculators, explanations and reference data are written and maintained for accuracy. Where a page cites a source, it does so because the source is relevant, not because of a commercial relationship.
